Tilganga Institute of Ophthalomology is the implementing body of the Nepal Eye Program, a non profit, community based, non-government organization.

With an aim to act as a model for treatment research and training, independent of, but in co operation with all other eye care centres and organizations in Nepal, the current Tilganga Institute of Ophthalomology facility was opened in 1994.

“The primary focus is to deliver extremely high quality eye care. We always believe that vision & sight are such things that you can never say that there are children of lesser god.

There has to be one standard of care to everybody and every patient should be able to see very well”
